owning and racing a CRF250R myself i was not expecting much excitment from the 250X. knowing the lack of BHP it has compared to its motocross sibbling i was expecting it to be dull and lifeless,However I was pleasantly supprised!!!
the mid range power was strong and very useable,the lack of "stand up smack you in the face" power inhabiting the 250R was a welcome gift of confidence when riding inches from a very large drop and lack of terriferma!
the bike turned shrap and stable on both loose and hard pack conditions, with a extremely encouraging high speed stability.
excllent bikes compliment the professional running and superb abilitys of the instructors that is "redtread".

what ever your level of skill on a motorcycle this is a experience not to be missed!

Thought i was going to struggle height wise only being 5,6 but didn't very much. Soon felt very natural with the bikes. Probably the nicest enduro/mx bike i've riden so far.

I rode the bike for two days and it felt easy on the body. It felt really light and easy to manouver, especially in tight turns and the gnarly parts. It did not wear me out even though my general physical shape was bad prior to the two days of riding. I was able to concentrate fully on technique without having any armpump or fatigue to worry about. A booster for your confidence! I also took a 450x for a short spin, and then I noticed it had the torque that I felt the 250x was missing. Next time I'll be in better shape and pick the 450x!

Sufficiently powerful for me, with 4 days off-road experience (3 at a previous Redtread tour). Incredibly resilient machine: came off several times, twice at speed, but the bike was undamaged. Took a while to find neutral but clutch and brakes worked well. I just need to control them better. Just the sort of bike I'd buy ...

I have over the last 2 years been riding a 2 stroke machine and when I pulled out of the redtread mansion the CRF450X felt very strange.By the time I had got to the motocross track the bike felt great in my opinion the CRF450x is the perfect machine for the terrain,what ever you put in front of the crf450x it just dealt with

INITIALLY THOUGHT THIS MAYBE A BIT OF A HANDFUL ON THE TRAILS HAVING OWNED A CRF450R BUT THE BIKE WAS FANTASTIC AND MORE MELLOW THAN THE "R" VERSION. IDEAL FOR THE TERRAIN AND TYPE OF RIDING YOUR DOING WITH REDTREAD.

Befor the ride, I was only used to drive onroad. The horsepowers are not very much, I thought.After the first hour, I was very surprised of the power of this machine.
For a driver without any offroadexperiances like me, it was possible to drift out of the corners.
Really, because of the power in the beginning I was not possible to drive in lower gears. Sometimes I tried it, but nearly everytime it was for me like rodeo on an very angry bull. Everything I will say, is that I think the machine is for Pros and Beginners very good. Not at last, because of that the Honda after some small crashes was Ok. Really the day finished to fast..... Nevertheless in the morning of the next day I walked a little bit like Frankenstein.

Fantastic bike and did everything i expected. Very smooth power delivery and not too scary or unpredictable. Suspension was great and coped with all terrains at any speed. Overall i couldn't fault this bike at all.

What a bike! Point it at something then ride over it. More than once I thought that I was going to have a big crash, but the bike just kept going over the obstacle. I did fall off a few times but that was my fault not the bikes. It had all the power that I wanted with a really useable delivery. Can I have another go?

Wow a truly great riding experience on board the Honda 450.
The engine is sublime and just keeps on pulling coupled with precision handling this is a great piece of engineering whether in the hands of a pro or relative novice it is a remarkable machine & delight to experience.

Superb bike, plenty of power for my 11 stone, just about managed it at 5' 10".
Brakes were beautifully progressive, engine felt very 2 strokey in character, which was nice. All in all a very capable and flattering bike to ride.
